JOHN D. CARVER  (Big Daddy Pollitt) – This is John’s first appearance with Carmel Community Players but he has appeared in dozens of productions in his many years of involvement in theatre.  John was very active in theatre in the Springfield, Massachusetts area before returning to Indianapolis in 2004.  Since his return to Indy he has performed at Indianapolis Civic, Buck Creek Players, Spotlight Players, Hendricks Civic, Shelby County Players, Merry Mac Players, Epilogue Players and The Theatre Within.   He recently retired so he could spend more time doing what he enjoys, theatre and long motorcycle rides with his wife Shirley.  He would like to thank Brian Noffke for this opportunity and for including him in such a talented cast.   He would also like to thank his wife Shirley for her help and for putting up with this “nonsense” all these years.

DAMON DENNIN (Brick ) - Damon is honored to be cast in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.  He graduated from St. Joseph’s University where he studied Performing Arts.  While living in Philadelphia, he was involved in music, television and film productions, radio, college and local theatre.  He was proud to be cast as an understudy in Hello Dolly, Annie and La Vie en Bleu at The Walnut Street Theatre, America’s oldest theater.   He has also appeared with Indianapolis Civic Theatre and Footlite and was nominated for best supporting actor in Buck Creek Players The Haunting of Hill House.   He appeared as Juror #3 in The Spotlight Players 12 Angry Men (2008). Damon is employed by AT&T, plays the guitar and competes on the tennis court—played tennis for the Division I SJU Hawks.  Damon would like to thank his parents for their support and encouragement to become a respected actor and musician.   He’d also like to think Brian Noffke for his exquisite direction and his passion for the stage.

DELANEY HENDRICKS (Trixie) – Delaney is also making her CCP acting debut.  Most recently, she has appeared as Beverly in the Westfield Main Street Production presentation of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.  She also appeared the Carmel Repertory Theatre’s production of Oliver! And her school production of Fiddler On the Roof, Jr. as Yussel. She loves performing, being on stage and learning about all aspects of the theater.  She is also an animal lover who enjoys watching Food Network for new vegetarian recipes.  She is a second grader at Maple Glen Elementary in Westfield. 

MARK KAMISH (Gooper) is thrilled to step onto CCP’s stage for the first time with this wonderful cast and crew.  Mark recently appeared in Spotlight Player’s Fall production of Biloxi Blues (Sgt. Merwin J. Toomey) as well as Spotlight’s 2008/2009 Encore Award-winning 12 Angry Men (Juror #4) – sharing the stage with our director Brian Noffke and Damon Dennin (Brick).  Other recent former roles include C.B. in Defying Gravity, Sagot in Picasso at the Lapin Agile, both with Buck Creek Players under the direction of Kari Ann Stamatoplos (Mae) and as Davenport in Epilogue Player’s Inherit the Wind alongside John Carver (Big Daddy).  A graduate of the United States Military Academy and Indiana University School of Law, Mark is a criminal defense attorney in Franklin.

KYLER KONING (Buster) – Kyler his making is stage acting debut in CCP’s production of Cat On a Hot Tin Roof.  Kyler is 7 years old and is a first grader at Carey Ridge Elementary School in Westfield.  He is currently in Cub Scouts, enjoys soccer and basketball, plays Legos and collects Pokemon cards. Kyler’s dad, Brian and sisters Kaitlin and Karli have all appeared in CCP productions.  Kyler is a cancer survivor and has been cancer-free for two years after being diagnosed with Leukemia (A.L.L.) in October of 2005 at the age of 22 months. He continues to participate in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk with family and friends each Fall and encourages everyone to support that cause and help find a cure for childhood cancer.

CIARRA KROHNE (Dixie) – Ciarra is a 5th grader at Sugar Creek Elementary. She is very excited to have this great opportunity to play Dixie here at Carmel Community Players with director Brian Noffke.  Ciarra has been doing plays since she was six years old. She has been in Caucasian Chalk Circle at Butler University, Holiday Musical at Sugar Creek Elementary, A Christmas Carol at Indiana Repertory Theatre, Seussical at the Artist Studio, Holy Moses at Indiana Creek Christian Church, and Wizard of Oz at The Artist Studio. She would like to thank the cast and crew for all the fun she is having and Brian for giving her this opportunity.

 

JIM LUCAS (Doc Baugh) – This is Jim's first appearance at CCP. Originally from Terre Haute, he and his family reside in Lebanon. Jim Lucas is an active participant in Indianapolis community theatre and a supporter of IndyFringe. While earning a B.S. in Theatre from Ball State, he appeared in The Gingerbread Lady, The Crucible, Rosenkrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Arms and the Man,  and Little Murders. He has appeared at Center Stage Community Theatre in A Tuna Christmas, The Boys Next Door, Arsenic and Old Lace and Love Letters and  A Few Good Men at Westfield’s Main Street Productions. He would like to thank his family and friends for their support.

MIKI MATHIOUDAKIS (Big Mama) – Miki says she’s glad to branch out to Carmel for Big Mama in Cat On a Hot Tin Roof. Last seen as Golda Meir in Golda’s Balcony at Indianapolis Civic Theatre.  The last several roles for Miki have been bigger than life women: Karen in The Guys and Maria Callas in Master Class.   Miki was  last seen as Eulalie Shinn in The Music Man at Beef & Boards, earlier as Dolly Levi and Vera Charles at Footlite Musicals.  Miki works as a hospital chaplain at St. Vincent Women’s Hospital and makes a weekly trip to WFYI to do booth announcing. When off stage, she loves knitting, reading, dancing, cooking and dates with her nieces and nephews.

ANTHONY PROSTYAKOV (Sonny) - Anthony is making his CCP debut in Cat On a Hot Tin Roof. A fourth grader at College Wood Elementary in Carmel, he has recently appeared as Oliver Twist in Carmel Repertory Theatre's production of Oliver! and as Tad Lincoln in Indiana Repertory Theatre's production of The Heavens Are Hung In Black. Anthony also played Tiny Tim in Indiana Repertory Theatre's production of A Christmas Carol in 2008. He has also appeared earlier in Charlotte's Web, 101 Dalmatians, Honk, and Marriage.

CAITLIN SINCLAIR (Polly) – Caitlin is another newcomer to the CCP stage. A third grader at Woodbrook Elementary School in Carmel, Caitlin already has some acting experience under her belt having played “Drake” in Honk, Jr. and a “Who” in Seussical, Jr.”, both in the Carmel-Clay schools.  She is looking forward to taking on her first role in a community theater production with CCP.

LISAMARIE SMITH (Maggie) – LisaMarie is overjoyed to be involved at the Carmel Community Players for the first time. She has enjoyed a well rounded theater career over the past 13 years and continues to evolve and grow with each role. Recently, she was part of the ensemble casts of Indianapolis Senior Center productions of Senior Moments & Slices of Experience and The Trysting Place. She also played the role of Mercedes in The Drink and I at the Cinema Grill and Annelle in the Indianapolis Senior Center production of Steel Magnolias.  LisaMarie also appeared  in the independent film, “Science Sex and the Ladies.  In addition to performing on stage, LisaMarie enjoys working with many local photographers and is an artistic figure model, is the subject of 3 new books by Charles Letbetter/Captured Light Studios, and is a featured model on the www.darioinfini.com website.

KARI ANN STAMATOPLOS (Mae/Sister Woman) Cat On a Hot Tin Roof marks Kari Ann’s CCP debut.  She has been involved in community theatre for more than 20 years and recently directed The Mystery of Edwin Drood at Buck Creek Players.  Some favorite roles include Bridget Sullivan in Lizzie Borden: The Musical, Sr. Mary Amnesia in Nunsense, Emma Goldman/Housewife in Assassins, and various roles in Smokey Joe’s Cafe.  Kari Ann is a four-time Encore Award winner for singing, acting, & directing, and a 13 year veteran of ComedySportz of Indianapolis.  She wishes to thank Brian Noffke for this opportunity, and husband Tony for his love and encouragement.

BOB WILLSEY (Reverend Tooker) – This is Bob’s first opportunity to appear on CCP’s stage. He has appeared in numerous area community theater productions over the past 30-plus years.  Most recently, Bob appeared in Garfield Shakespeare Company’s production of Much Ado About Nothing (Don John), Center Stage Productions Carol Burnett Sketches (various characters), and the Morris-Butler House production of From Dark Pages (Edgar Allen Poe).  He was nominated for and Encore “Best Actor” Award in 2008 for his portrayal of Petruchio in Our Town Players’ production of Taming of the Shrew.  Besides working as a Retail Financial Advisor for PNC Investments, Bob is active in two church singing groups and has completed 23 half marathons and 5 triathlons.
