CALL FOR DIRECTORS

Interested in directing a mainstage show with Carmel Community Players?

We are now accepting director submissions for shows to be produced in 2026. Directors may submit 1-3 prospective scripts to be considered.

Comedies, dramas, and musicals may be submitted. New pieces as well as old favorites are strongly encouraged. All productions will be considered for suitability with our audience demographic, venues, resources, and marketability. We hope to see a wide variety of submissions, and engage a diverse group of directors, staff, and actors. Most of our shows will be performed at the CAT in Carmel, an intimate venue with a stage about 25’ across and 24’ deep.

FEBRUARY/MARCH 2026

APRIL/MAY 2026

JUNE/early JULY 2026 (typically used for Rising Star youth production)

late JULY/AUG 2026

SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2026

NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2026

Christmas or holiday-themed shows are encouraged for NOVEMBER/DECEMBER but not required – must be age appropriate and family friendly.

To be considered, please submit the following to hcjanowicz@gmail.com by Friday, December 6th, 2024
for a production for 2026, please submit

- your submission form,

- your directing resume or credentials

- a copy of your selected script,

- any necessary design or concept notes (optional)

Submissions will be closed Friday, December 6, 2024.

The CCP script selection committee will read and review each submission; Decisions will be made based on the balance of the season, qualifications of the director, available dates, and how the production and script fits with our audience, mission, and vision. Final decisions will be made by January 2025. The productions for the 2025-2026 season will be publicly announced in Spring 2025.
