Your Audition Date/Time will be emailed to you 24 hours before. Please do not email asking for it sooner.

WHAT TO PREPARE:

Headshots/resumes are encouraged but not required. Auditions will consist of a prepared (age appropriate and memorized) one-minute monologue including slating (introducing who you are, what play the monologue is from, and who wrote the play) along with reading from the script.

Video auditions will also be accepted for those unable to attend in-person auditions. Prepare a 1+ minute monologue; in your video, please slate (introduce yourself) and the piece you are performing. Submissions must be emailed to the director at amberroth98@gmail.com by 6:00 PM on Sunday, March 30th, 2025.

STORY:

Triplet sisters are left in the forest by their woodcutter father. From this fairytale beginning, three resolutions are made – one sister will walk one way, one the other, and the third will stay right where she is. Twenty years later, having circumnavigated the globe, fought Vikings, crossed oceans, tamed wilds, and achieved greatness, the three meet again, as women. The fantastical tale also highlights the beauty of individuality and the importance of one’s journey to self- love.

CHARACTER DETAILS

While the script calls for four characters the Director is looking at casting a cast of 11 by spitting the role of the Narrator.

ALBIENNE – The oldest of the three sisters. A lover of sweets and follows her dreams of being a baker.

BEATRIX– The second oldest of the three. Child of the sun and follows her dreams of being an explorer

CARMEN – The youngest of the three. Homebody who is timid and shy.

NARRATORS – Ensemble of eight storytellers who play multiple roles ranging between a Narrator, Step Mother, Father, Baker, Bakers Son, Lady, Man, Girl, Peter
