Interested in directing a main stage show with Carmel Community Players?

Submissions are currently closed. We will begin accepting script submissions from potential directors following the Carma Awards Ceremony in September 2026.

Prospective directors may submit up to 3 scripts to be considered. Comedies, dramas, and musicals may be submitted. CCP seasons have typically consisted of 3-4 mainstage plays, 1 musical, and 1 Rising Star production reserved for youth performers.

JUNE/early JULY 2028 (typically used for Rising Star youth production)
late JULY/AUG 2028
SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2028
NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2028
*Christmas or holiday-themed shows are encouraged for NOVEMBER/DECEMBER but not required – must be age appropriate and family friendly.

The CCP script selection committee reads and reviews each submission. All productions will be considered for their suitability with our audience demographic, venues, resources, and marketability. Final decisions will be approved by the CCP Board of Directors, and publicly announced in the Spring.

We hope to see a wide variety of submissions, and engage a diverse group of directors, staff, and actors. Most of our shows will be performed at the Cat in Carmel, an intimate venue with a stage about 25’ across and about 28’ deep.
